Nonceveux is an area that is most familiar for the Ninglinspo river. Aywaille and the Ninglinspo are located in the province of Liège, which is about an hour’s drive from the Dutch border. In the summer, it gets very crowded as this place has many campings in its surrounding. Looking for an easy day hike? This might be the one for you!
Our Experience
Day 1 – Nonceveux Loop (27KM – 5:50 hours)
We drove to the camping Arkeo, where we booked the Glamping Tent. The camping made a great impression, very friendly people and lots of nature-lovers who camped here because of a mountain bike race later that day. After parking the car on the camp site and making dinner reservations for the pizza night on the camping that evening, we started our hike (around 10:00). It was a difficult path to find due to bad weather earlier that week. Luckily, at some point we found out that we had to cross the road to start the hike. We had to climb a steep hill at the start, but from there it became more easy accessible path. During the hike we passed the creeks of Ninglinspo and La Chefna.
We celebrated the ‘almost’ end of our hike with a beer at Taverne Restaurant Ninlingspo. Back at the camping a shower and pizza’s were waiting for us!
